thankful living list

116. receiving Christmas cards from people near and far that we love (sorry, ours are not going out til February. Last year when we sent out our "christmas" cards then with wedding pics, we had so many comments from people about how they enjoyed that little mailbox treat in the middle of winter, we thought we'd do it on purpose this year!)
117. my husband who does all of the finances and keeps me informed. Something I really looked forward to when I was single. He is so good at it!
118. a thoughtful phone call from a good friend
119. people being happy for good things happening to you
120. a nap on the couch with the Joey cat
121. a student who brought me homemade fudge and how her eyes sparkled because she was so excited about it!
122. Students who absolutely can't wait for you to open their gift to you!
123. when you can countdown on one hand or less how many days til Christmas break (mine starts 2 days early this year)
124. hearing my mom's voice on the phone after her knee replacement surgery
125. my mom sounding more like herself on the phone a few days after her surgery
126. The shrill of excitement from my students when they open their gift from me (Junie B. Jones of course)
127. opening stockings
128. movie gift cards from thoughtful parents
129. authors like C.S. Lewis who have the gift of communicating spiritual truths through a fanciful story and people who have the vision to make it into a well-done movie
130. friends who will watch our cat while we are gone
