endless gifts

Okay so yesterday one of my precious students was trying to explain to me that four of his fingers were "good" and the middle one was "bad." I told him it was only "bad" when it was the only one standing and it was pointing at someone else.

One of my kids asked me today what the gifts were under the Christmas tree in the hallway. I replied with something like "it's for kids who don't have a lot of money so they can get Christmas presents." He responded with something like "my mom and dad don't have a lot of money." (which I know isn't true) He thought he pulled one over on me. :)

Yesterday one of my children decided it was a good idea to roll down the stairs before school started and involve another child from my class. He's kind of the Junie B. Jones in my class this year...but the boy version. For those of you not acquianted with my little friend Junie B. Jones, she's a hilarious book character who is very entertaining to read about but is very frustrating to actually have a student who behaves like that. Anyway...he's kind of in his own world and says whatever pops into his brain and he cracks me up (although he makes me want to pull my hair out too all at the same time.) And he looks eerily like the kid from "A Christmas Story" (you know the one where he's told over and over again "you'll shoot your eye out" if he gets the bebe gun he's wanting for Christmas).

But anyhow...I have a few fun pictures from my b-town weekend.

me and stinky the kitty. I put my scarf on her when I got home and she was thrilled as you can see.
